How to Choose the Best Gifts for 5 Year Olds
Use these pointers to narrow down the best gifts for 5 year olds for the family you are shopping for.
What 5 Year Olds Love
Five year olds are bursting with imagination and energy. They love pretend play, first LEGO sets, simple board games, crafts, things that light up or launch, and anything that lets them run, jump and climb. Most are ready for toys labeled 4+ or 5+.
Match the Gift to Their Interests
The best gift fits what a child already loves: dinosaurs, art, sports, building, science or pretend play. Ask parents or teachers what they are into right now, and favor toys that let kids go deeper into that interest.
